With each Wrestlemania I pinch myself a little harder that I get to do this work. WWE is only one of my clients, but it’s the one I cherish the most (and work with the most frequently!).
***READ TO THE BOTTOM FOR LEGENDARY MOMENTS UPDATE***
As most have already seen, we have a really cool slate of collector’s posters this year including a career retrospective for Triple H. We haven’t done one of these in a year or two, so it was a ton of fun to return to the series and for a super cool occasion.
Then of course, there are the two Wrestlemania 41 posters. It’s not every day you get the green light to paint a pissed off looking Cena– what a thrill. Seriously, google image search Cena WWE and you can count on one hand the number of photos where he isn’t smiling. It’s not easy and im super proud of how this turned out.

Im feeling more and more confident in letting my brushwork show in the final art and these two are great examples of that. Details you really can’t see unless you have the poster in hand.

All three of these are movie style at a large 24” x 36” and will wow you in person, I promise.
Legendary Moments
Many have asked about this. First off, it’s humbling that so many folks have come to enjoy this series of my art as part of their Wrestlemania tradition. When we first started it I considered myself lucky to even do one year’s worth of art, let alone 5 (? 6???) now.
We DO have a new Legendary Moment approved. It’s finished and cleared, but the logistics of getting in up for sale at the 11th hour is tricky. I don’t know when it will be live, but I imagine very soon. Maybe this weekend, maybe next week.
I know the news of *just one* new poster might be a disappointment and for that Im sorry. Without spoiling the business, I’ll say that there is a reason they say card subject to change. Things get made but then creative direction changes on a dime and those things need to be put on pause. Thats’ ok! Its part of the business of being an artist :)
One day, I hope to be able to release a whole set of those posters, but for now they remain locked away.
If you’ve made it this far, I appreciate you! That’s pretty much it. Im not in Vegas this year and feeling the FOMO, but with an infant at home, traveling wasn’t in the cards.
So, as we are on the eve of Wrestlemania night 1, im excited as hell to watch tomorrow with my 6 year old and a few of my very best friends. Plus let’s be real, the couch with a beer and pizza is the best seat in the house. Unless you’re green shirt guy of course.
Cheers, enjoy the show!
LISTENING TO: Everything from Ringer Wrestling. Yeah yeah they are my friends and team, but really the coverage is second to none.
But also: I stumbled on that Skrillex track Bangarang and now I can’t stop putting it on and jumping around the house. Much to the chagrin of my wife ;)
