Speaking of the Gobbledy Gooker, that would be kinda funny…? Maybe I should. Fun fact, at Wrestlemania 39 I was on a panel talk for Mattel and our Elite Series 100 with Johnny Gargano while he was dressed as the aforementioned Gooker. fun times!

…as promised it’s Turkey Week, it’s Survivor Series week, and most importantly it’s NEW DROP WEEK!
Making his Legendary Moments series debut, we finally get the man who won a gold medal with a broken freaking neck, Kurt Angle. Highlighted in this all time classic at Wrestlemania 20 with Eddie Guerrero.
We knew we wanted to tackle this matchup, but to be honest, I struggled a bit with how to do it. What to include as the design elements, how the wrestlers should look, all of it. I played with Eddie actually holding his boot, but that was…awkward (this is where a good art director comes in, ahem, Dave Polashock…). I also wanted to capture the Garden, but there are alot of copyright issues you run into with that.
After a few false starts Im really proud of where we landed– Kurt’s arrogant patriotic confidence and Eddie’s ‘whaaaat?? meeee???” energy. Stars and Fire, towering over the city.
So much fun.
